Two days away – Valentine’s Day is two days away, and there hasn’t been much time to decorate for the season around our home. Perhaps a couple of touches of love will brighten our abode. What I put together is super, super easy. A year or two ago I bought these darling beaded hearts. The […]
While in rehab, I started thinking about the classic children’s book Goodnight Moon by Helen Wise Brown. In this charming story with striking illustrations by Clement Hurd a little bunny goes through the ritual of saying goodnight to objects in his room. As I thought about this story, I began thinking about saying “Hello” to my home. My story does […]
The flowers on the desk in Room 106 came to be known as “My Garden”. I thought about calling it “My Secret Garden”, but it wasn’t a secret because the flowers were in plain sight for everyone to see and enjoy. What a bright and cherry corner these flowers created. Come visit “My Garden” The light pink […]

On Wednesday, Lanabird suffered a fall resulting in a broken hip. This morning (Friday) doctors performed surgery to mend her injured leg. Everything went well and Lanabird is resting comfortably. Blog posts will resume as soon as she is feeling up to it. Thank you.

I never tire of the Christmas story. I try to imagine what it must have been like on that night. How amazing it must have been. Within this post I will share some of my friend Ann’s nativity sets. Many of my friends collect nativities, and they have simple sets handmade by children, plastic sets […]
The Christmas season chould not pass without me sharing some of the Christmas vignettes in Mrs. Ralph’s home. I love all the arrangements on her tables and shelves. I kid you not. I have enough pictures for many many blogs, and I am going to basically let the pictures do the talking. A sled sitting […]
From the moment you walk up the steps to Mrs. Ralph’s home, you get a clear impression of what awaits you inside. Her beautiful home has an off-set entry, and thus it has need for decorations on the walk and by the front door. Be still my heart. I love the large urns by […]
