Super Sister and I shop when she comes to town.  On her latest visit, I asked her where she wanted to go.

“Where is that shop where you got that black and white jacket?” she asked.

Earlier I had told her that I got the jacket at a consignment shop.  If Super Sister wants to know, maybe you might enjoy this information also.  My dilemma is – Do I share my source?  Do I admit I wear clothes bought at a consignment shop?

Sure!  I think I tend to tell you everything.

Larger Than Life is a consignment store that carries clothes for women size 12 – to 8X.  Considering that the average woman in America wears a size 14, there are many women who can shop at this North Dallas store that carries gently used and never worn clothing.   To be honest, I am not crazy about the name of the shop, but I do like browsing their racks for bargins.

The shop is packed and they add about 100 items each day.

Shoes (sizes 6 – 14) and accessories are also sold here.  I have never been able to understand why shoes fit in the shoe shop, and then do not fit when you get them home.

Larger Than Life is an excellent source for Mother of the ??? and other party dresses.  Most of these dresses have been worn once, and they look brand new.

The items on the center racks are considered “designer fashions”.

There is a set rotation to the pricing – full price, 20% off, and 40% off.  Considering that the first price is usually pretty reasonable (certainly less than department store prices), you can finds some bargains.

I will even share what we found.

This wrap looked so good on Super Sister.  She loves to wear wraps, and this one has great style.

A black and white jacket looked just like Super Sister.  It appeared to be brand new.

I love the length of this sweater.

My inner cowgirl could not pass up this fringed red leather jacket.

A pink sweater still had the original tags.  It had never been worn.  With the cold weather we have been experiencing, a nice heavy sweater was appealing.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  I love it when I find something I have been searching for.  I promise you – I have been to about ten stores looking for mock turtleneck tops.  Look what I found – Ralph Lauren no less.

I think we had a successful shopping day.
