It began with one lone baby flamingo in our neighbor’s front yard.
For weeks – maybe a month it stood by its lonesome without any companionship. The bright pink contrasted lovely with the green grass, but I felt sorry for the single flamingo. After all, shouldn’t there be a flock of flamingos?
Then miracles of miracles, baby flamingo’s mother arrived. I have to admit that it made my heart happy to know that little flamingo had a friend.
Be still my heart. Then either Papa Flamingo or Aunty Flamingo appeared. What a cute family!
Within two weeks the happy family had grown to five members. I am sure that the word had spread in the flamingo world that there was a wonderful home for a flock of flamingos in this neighborhood.
Today I noticed that the flamingos have moved to nest in the flower bed. Maybe they are being considerate of the mowing crew.
There are six darling flamingos now living next door. I like them. I love them. They make me happy.
Blessings to you and yours,
No, I am not responsible for the arrival of the flamingos next door. Cross my heart!
