There is a new restaurant in town, and we wanted to try it. Ever-Lovin’ and I made our way over to Campbell/Coit to dine at Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex, but the line was LONG – 45 minute wait. (People in the Richardson/North Dallas area are so ready for new restaurants.) Maybe another day we decided.
On another day, I met friends at Manny’s at 5:30, and we were seated immediately. (By the time we left, there was a line.)
From what I read, the Manny’s in Addison closed and moved to Richardson. I had never visited Manny’s when it was in Addison, but I will return to this fine Tex-Mex restaurant.
On this occasion each person chose a different meal.
Our waiter mentioned that the brisket tacos were the most popular item on the menu. – They were declared very good.
On the Nicole’s you get three tostadas – bean, chili con queso, and guacamole. I was told that this was also delicious.
Okay, I’ll admit. This was my choice – a half order of beef quesadillas. So good. Highly recommended. They are filled with meat and cheese, and you get a good size serving of guacamole which is a major plus in my book.
The hot sauce and chips also were given thumbs up.
There is a nice patio area if you enjoy dining outside.
So glad to have Manny’s in the neighborhood. It is technically in Dallas, but Richardson is so close that I think we can claim it also.
Blessings to you and yours,
Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex original location is in Uptown at 3521 Oak Grove, Dallas.
