I don’t think we have ever gone to the Dallas Arboretum in August. Too blooming hot! But, was I ever surprised. They actually have flowers blooming in this Texas heat.
Sweet Mother of Pearl. Look how pretty this is.
The gardens were green and lush.
Here is a close up picture. What are these beauties? I like them. I love them. I want to plant them in our garden.
Amazing.
Even the containers were overflowing.
I do love the Rose Garden.
Stunning.
Roses are beyond wonderful, and I love taking pictures of roses.
Number One Son asked for the camera to take this picture – “Raindrops on roses… a few of my favorite things.”
Little Rabbit was also enjoying the garden.
The Alice Adventures in Wonderland Flower Village had four topiary houses in the Pecan Grove area. Not pumpkin houses, but still cute.
Hot rod was having a good time.!
Along the path, we noticed these unusual little mushrooms.
The reason we went to the Dallas Arboretum on a summer day in August was – we had received an invitation to “test” the new Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. We were not to take pictures inside the garden because not everything is finished. They ask us not to share information about the new garden at this time. This is hard! I so want to tell you about it, but…. (It is beyond fantastic!) Hot Rod was engaged the entire time he was in the garden.
I beg you. When the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden opens – please plan a visit . You will not be sorry.
Blessings to you and yours,
