North of Richardson,
North of Plano,
North of Allen,
North of McKinney,
North of Frisco,
And North of Prosper is the little community of Celina.
Urban sprawl has come to Celina, and it is beginning to boom. It is still a small quiet community, but many of the major builders are building homes in this area.
In the downtown area, on Pecan Street is a craft, gift and antique mall called Whimsy Finds. For some time I have been wanting to visit this shop. My nephew Garrett’s sweet wife Michele has a booth in this mall, and Super Sister had told me about her cute booth.
Directly inside the front door I spotted Michele’s colorful booth called Cutesy Daisy Designs.
Michele creates beautiful wreaths. I especially like this wreath with the cross and the scripture verse. Michele makes wreaths to order, and she can make wreaths that reflect school colors, or any holidays.
She also carries these metal wreaths called “One Wreath”. Different magnets can adorn the wreath as the seasons change. Isn’t that great?
There are other interesting shops in Whimsy Finds that carry, soaps, jewelry and other decor items.
This booth is filled with bright decor items. One could certainly add a punch of color using these pretties.
It is almost time to begin thinking about springtime bunnies.
This little space will help you with your Texas or western decor.
“When pigs fly….” I love flying pigs, and these are so certainly make a statement adorned with pearls.
Whimsy Finds is also a place to buy chalk paint.
On the last Saturday of every month there are chalk paint workshops available.
I love tole trays, and thought it a magnificent idea to use one as a memo board.
A surprise to me was Sign Gypsies.
This booth sells wonderful yard and door decor, AND here was the surprise to me. Super Sister’s niece Karri makes these fantastic signs. Karri is like family, and I did not remember that she had a booth at Whimsy Finds.
This is my favorite sign in Karri’s booth. She can custom make what you want. I like it. I love it.
Whimsy Finds is a small mall, but there are some cute and interesting items for sale here. I did not take pictures of the clothes (both adult and children’s), or pictures of the jewelry pieces. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by. There are other neat shops and restaurants in downtown Celina. Maybe I will check them out on my next visit.
Blessings to you and yours,
