As a result of the unexpected accident that resulted in my broken hip, I found myself at the new Methodist Richardson Medical Center.
This facility has been open for about eight months, and Ever-Lovin’ was eager to take pictures of this shiny new medical center so I could have a look/see. My experience here was mainly looking at the ceiling of my room, and I am so glad Ever-Lovin’ took these pictures.
A sofa and a recliner were available for family who graciously kept me company overnight.
Can you believe? A bluebonnet picture graced the wall in my room. How did they know?
Modern sconces provided light.
The hallways were filled with artwork and were so sparkling clean.
The Bistro was on the same floor as my room.
Ever-Lovin’ enjoyed the meals in this bright light space. In warmer weather, the rooftop terrace is open.
The Bistro offered a grill station, an entree station, and cold food cases. Starbucks is also offered in the Bistro. (It seems that all hospitals need a Starbucks.)
The ecumenical chapel not only provided a place to pray, but on this day there was also going to be a piano concert.
Prayer rugs were also available.
This is the downstairs lounge area.
Gardens surround the Medical Center.
These gardens are filled with sculptures.
I had no idea that any of this existed.
One of the things I appreciated about Methodist Richardson Medical Center is that they have plenty of volunteer chaplains to visit the patients. These chaplains were from different congregations in Richardson, and came by daily to pray for me and my family.
Not only was the Methodist Medical Center beautiful, the staff was responsive, caring, and helpful.
Blessings to you and yours,
I think I will visit again – When I am not a patent!
Thank you Ever-Lovin’ for the pictures.
