Neighbor Jim stopped by the house one morning recently. As a faithful reader of Lanabird, he had read the post about Gabe Lyons who was the speaker at the annual Leadership Conference of First Baptist Church Richardson. (You can read that post HERE.)
Neighbor Jim brought me a gift – a special New Testament. He mentioned that he has given many of these Bibles away. The Bible provides “Step by step how to share your faith.”
Tabs along the edge of the Bible make it easy to find verses that help you share your faith. When we are trying to represent Christ in our world today, we might be surprised when someone actually wants to know about following Jesus Christ. This Bible would be a helpful tool to aid in sharing the gospel.
Under each tab, verses are highlighted.
There were two bracelets with the Bible. They are color coded to correspond with the colored tabs.
I have always thought that it is important to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. We all are part of the body of Christ, and we each have specific jobs to do in His kingdom. Even if we are not called to be an evangelist, we must be prepared to share with a seeker. This little Bible can be a tool to help us. It is small enough to be kept in the glove compartment of your car or carried in a purse.
At the back of the Bible, there is a focus on discipleship. I like that.
I can imagine several ways to use this New Testament. Perhaps it would be a tool for me to use with a seeker, or I might share it with a new believer as they begin their life of discipleship. I appreciate Neighbor Jim sharing this Bible with me.
Blessings to you and yours,
Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you.” (John 20:21)
