The gang came over for Easter lunch/dinner. What do you call it?
Wikipedia says:
Dinner usually refers to the most significant meal of the day, which can be the noon or the evening meal. However, the term “dinner” can have many different meanings depending on the culture; it may mean a meal of any size eaten at any time of day.[1] [2] Historically, it referred to the first meal of the day, eaten around noon, and is still occasionally used for a noontime meal if it is a large or main meal. However, the meaning as the evening meal, generally the largest of the day, is becoming standard in the English-speaking world.
Still clear as mud water, but I think a large meal would be considered dinner. (Sorry to digress.)
I did not take pictures of the meal or table setting, but the two daughters (in-laws) brought delicious sides to go along with the ham and roast. Mikel brought a fantastic potato salad, and Jenny’s squash casserole was equally as delicious. I will try to get the recipes to share with you.
It was Pretty Baby’s first Easter, and I must admit everyone in the family acted like paparazzi around her.
Luckily Hot Rod was busy hunting Easter eggs for himself and Pretty Baby. How handsome he looked in his linen shirt and new pants. He is growing up way too fast. It seems just like yesterday when we were holding him in our arms.
This was the picture I wanted – the two Grands together.
Pretty Baby had the prettiest Easter frock. It even had a petticoat.
She had a basket full of Easter goodies, and an Easter bunny.
I think she was kissing her bunny.
All the Easter fun did make Pretty Baby tired.
Hot Rod had a Lego set in his Easter basket. I think he put it together in about 30 minutes. Amazing.
Love the family pictures.
I feel blessed. It was wonderful to have all the family together.
Blessings to you and yours,
FYI: Number Three Son does not want his picture on the blog, and that is okay. I just do not want you to think I ignore him.
