Ron and Evelyn’s had the party of the century or as Number One Son said, “The half century – since it was a Golden Anniversary.”
It was lovely, elegant, comfortable, and an all around wonderful experience.
The Golden Anniversary Tea was held in Arlington Hall (1939) at Lee Park in Dallas (1903).
It is in an unbelievably beautiful setting on Turtle Creek.
We entered. Oh my, how beautiful.
The Lee Room – As Hot Rod says, “I could get used to this.”
Then the chimes rang, and we entered the dining room.
The table was set with two types of tea.
The tea began with savory sandwiches – watercress, tomato basil, egg salad, cucumber, and chicken salad on raisin bread. All were delicious.
Next came the scones with cream and jam.
The last course was the sweets trays. Loved the cherry tart.
It was good to see Evelyn and Ron’s beautiful daughter Stephanie and her fiancé Ken in town from New York.
Logan their son is looking good or rather good looking.
Congratulations to Ron and Evelyn for fifty years of marriage – a milestone few couples in America reach. Thank you also for the inviting us to your wonderful celebration.
Blessings to you and yours,
