If you are a lover of English antiques and collectables, it would be worth your time and effort to go to Waxahachie on Tuesday April 9, 2013.

Judy B recently went on a buying trip to England and brought back a container of wonderful antiques.  I got to preview the sale, and want to share pictures with you.

Judy BBe still my heart.  Look at all these prizes.  Jeannie, Judy B’s cousin, offered to have the sale in her home.  Jeannie’s home is newly restored, and it is beautiful to behold.  Then when you add all the treasures Judy B brought back from England – WOW!

The fabulous linens, blue and white transferware, and glassware makes my heart go pitty-pat.

Silver tea sets and serving pieces glisten.

The leather suitcases have such character.

The royal commemoratives china pieces Judy B brought back are unique.

See the little wooden stools and cabinets.  They are wonderful.  Chintz, glassware and linens fill this table.Silver and glassware

Pretty, pretty, pretty – things that I love.DSC_8788

I have seen jewelry made using decorative metal pieces such as these.  Many of the pieces were once ornate backings to drawer pulls.

Keys are a popular collectables.  So unusual.  I love the little scalloped board with hooks and the wooden boxes.

I have a weakness for these English silver serving pieces.  The forks with Mother of Pearl handles are not easy to find.  Judy B also has several sets of 5 o’clock spoons for sale.

There is a pair of these beautiful stained glass windows.  I like them.  I love them.

The Torquay Pottery makes me laugh.  Each piece has cute saying on it.  The egg cup reads “laid today.”

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  This Bed and Breakfast sign is super.

It would be wonderful to own a chimney pot.  They look great in gardens – so English.

There are so many more items that were not photographed. If this is what you enjoy, do go.  You will not be disappointed.

If you can’t go to England, this sale is the next best thing.  The sale is on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1115 West Marvin in Waxahachie, Texas.  It only takes an hour to drive there from Dallas, and after you finish shopping Judy B’s sale, you can enjoy more fun places to shop downtown on the square.  Plus, I love eating at the Dove’s Nest.

Blessings to you and yours,

I have received no compensation for this preview.  Just wanted to share.

Yesterday the blog did not post to the emails.  I can not figure what is wrong.  Grimlins!  Hopefully it will work tonight.
