It is difficult to write a blog tonight. Our dear friends Robert and Janet’s 41 year old son James died suddenly this morning. He leaves behind a beautiful bride of only two years. We are all in shock and saddened. It is not right for parents to have to bury their children.
A Living Stones class meeting had been planned for tonight. We did not know if we should meet or not. The general consensus of opinion was that we felt we needed to be together. We gathered together to ask God to comfort Janet, Robert, and their families. We prayed that we might be a comfort to them during this time and for the hard days ahead.
So many had already been to see Janet and Robert – to hug them and tell of their love. Food was delivered, and offers of “if we can do anything” while knowing full well that we can’t undo what has happened to take away the pain.
All we can do is to offer our love and prayers,
Blessings to you and yours,
Tonight it was mentioned more than once how blessed we are to have Christian friends. We can not imagine what a tragedy like this would be if we did not know Christ and his saving grace.
