It took awhile, but we finally got to the Arboretum with Hot Rod. Of course there were pictures taken, and I want to share.
When we were at the Dallas Arboretum with Pretty Baby, the mums were not in bloom. On this visit, they were gorgeous. Look at the azaleas. They were in full bloom also.
The pumpkins still filled the gardens.
Some pumpkins were beginning to ripen, and little squirrel was enjoying a pumpkin feast.
This is one of the doors to the Camp House. Be still my heart!. I do love the lion door pull.
Maybe this will work as a black and white photo. What a good looking teenager!
I caught Hot Rod watching the creek. At any time of year, the Arboretum is beautiful.
I love that he still enjoys being a kid.
I also love that he loves his mother Mikel. They are a good pair. (Number One Son was out of town.)
Thanks for letting me share.
Blessings to you and yours,
I am so looking forward to the Twelve Days of Christmas that will premier November 16, 2014 at the Dallas Arboretum. I read that over 18,000 tickets have already been sold for the Twelve Days of Christmas Nights. This promises to be an exciting holiday for the Arboretum. During the day you can enjoy the animated gazebos and visit the lavishly decorated DeGolyer Estate. This year the home is filled with the Byers’ Choice Ltd. Christmas Caroler collection of John and Kim Semyan. During the extended evenings, you will be able to view the Twelve Days of Christmas gazebos in their illuminated glory. Groups of carolers will also be strolling the gardens, and special holiday themed treats will be offered. For more information go to the Dallas Arboretum website.
