It was short notice, but I had been missing my teacher friends from Wallace Elementary. The group is affectionally call WOW – Women of Wallace. I put out an invitation, and three friends could come. I was delighted.
Neva (all the way from Lubbock town), Marge (my wonderful co-worker), and Anna (a friend to all), came for coffee.
Pumpkin bread and a few pastries from the local bakery were offered. I decided to use the Keurig (They do not know me!) coffeemaker so I could offer individual coffee choices. It worked for this small group.
Apple cider heating on the stovetop made the house smell divine and was another drink choice.
Fresh grapes and strawberries decorated the pastry trays.
I will share the pumpkin bread recipe soon. It is easy and delicious.
Table decorations were also super simple – straw leaf mats (I had three colors) and metal maple leaf napkin rings.
The best part of the day was visiting with friends. I liked it. I loved it. We sat around the table and enjoyed catching up on the happenings in everyone’s life.
I will do this again. When it is this simple – why not?
Blessings to you and yours,
Thank you for coming. I hope you will come again.
