Best selling author, Jan Karon, has written a new book – Somewhere Safe With Somebody Good.  It has been a while (Almost 10 years) since Father Tim, his wife Cynthia, and the citizens of Mitford, North Carolina have graced us with their presence.

Each fall Highland Park United Methodist Church, the SMU Library, and the Highland Park Library hosts Authors Live.  Different authors speak throughout the months of September, October, and November.  This week the featured guest was Jan Karon.  How exciting to hear her interviewed just two days after the publication of her new book. She said she brought Father Tim and Cynthia back to Mitford because her fans wanted it.

Jan Karon is a beautiful charming lady, and you could sense that many in the audience were extremely well acquainted with the Mitford characters she has created.  These characters are dearly loved.

What an enjoyable evening we had during this special event.  I am so looking forward to reading the book.  I think it is being sold everywhere.  Jan Karon claims that even if you have never read a book from this series, you will be able to read Somewhere Safe With Somebody Good.  I love that title.
