Times have changed.  While combing through pictures related to the upcoming 150th Anniversary of First Baptist Church Richardson, I came across a couple of pictures that caught my attention.

Consider this –

This is the Dorcus Class from First Baptist Church Richardson. (Or was it called Mount Calvary at that time?)  I am not sure of the year.  All of the ladies are wearing hats, gloves, and have their purses as fitting to go to worship.  Having a picture made was considered serious business, and no one is grinning.  It is a proper picture full of dignity that reflects the seriousness of going to church.  I like it.  I love it!  I honestly wish I had known each of these ladies.

I am so thankful to know each of these ladies.

The main celebration for the 150th Anniversary of First Baptist Church Richardson will be in September of 2015.  We are so looking forward to this homecoming celebration.  If you have any pictures to share, please do.  The more we have the better.
