Paige graduated Suma Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University. Summa Cum Laude – “With Highest Honor” or “With Highest Praise”.
To be specific, she graduated with a 4.0 grade point average while working and being a mother to teenage son Alex. WOW! I am proud to know her.
Proud parents, Mike and Day, had a celebration, and we were invited.
Be still my heart. Mikel texted me to be sure to bring my camera because the floral arrangements were sights to behold. We were well on our way to the party, but there was no need to fear. I was prepared with Trusty Camera, because I knew this gathering would be blog worthy. Oh, my! What a party!
As we walked in through the front door, I was breathless when I saw this beautiful arrangement on the dining room table. It was like something out of Victoria Magazine. There were roses, hydrangeas, lilies, plus so many other gorgeous blooms. Paige has a good friend who works at a high-end florist shop in Dallas. He offered to provide the arrangements for her celebration.
Sweet Mother of Pearl! Paige has some dear friends. (That speaks highly of Paige.) On the dining table, was this fantastic cake made by her friend Kat Keeling. Sweet Kat has a side business called Treehouse Cakes. Not only was the cake adorable, it was also delicious. Cupcakes made by Kat were also on this dessert table.
As we walked back to the den and breakfast room, I could not believe what I was seeing. Beautiful floral arrangements were everywhere. I could not stop taking pictures of them. Yes, these were real flowers.
I liked them. I loved them.
Look at the platter filled with cheese and vegetables. A relative with catering experience arranged these platters. By this time, my mind was on overload. Everything about this party was first class and gorgeous.
Grapes were lovingly arranged on a cake stand. The mixture of various types of grapes trailing off the platter was so attractive.
What a super idea to have the watermelon bowl rest on a bed of pineapple cubes. Each dish had little touches that set them apart and made them special.
The lemon slices on the under plate around the crystal bowl of shrimp was another attractive touch. Day said she planned a menu that was all chilled foods. That way she did not have to worry about having to heat things throughout the party. It was an excellent plan.
Punch and water were served on the kitchen island. See – more pretty flowers.
What a wonderful afternoon we enjoyed. A big shout out to Paige for all her determination and hard work. She deserves “Highest Honor and Praise.” Congratulations!
Blessings to you and yours,
Mike and Day’s home is the most personal home I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I am looking forward to sharing a tour of their home in another post. Stay tuned!
