Be still my heart. The decorations for Caitlyn and Dale’s wedding were made in Pinterest heaven. There were so many charming details. One can only imagine the countless hours Caitlyn and friends worked to create such a beautiful event.
The wedding was held in Oma Gruene’s Secret Garden in Gruene, Texas. It is a courtyard area behind a bed and breakfast.
When we arrived that morning, they had begun hanging the white and coral lanterns. The lanterns create such a festive mood.
By wedding time, the area was transformed.
Tables were set with royal blue cloths and burlap runners. Different milk glass containers held the beautiful coral roses, white hydrangeas, and more.
The bride and groom table was flanked by rustic rocking chairs with chalkboard signs – so cute!
In the courtyard is this playhouse. I like it. I love it. It kept the children entertained. The large moss M was hung, and it really included the playhouse in the decor.
This was so cool. White framed chalkboards let guest know what to do as they arrived. Getting our drinks as we arrived was a welcome relief.
Another frame gave us the Order of Ceremony. What a great idea.
On this table was a large beautiful arrangement. Later there were sandwiches and salsa served from this area, but dorky me didn’t get a picture of that.
The entry table held Caitlyn’s gorgeous portrait, the photo guestbook to sign, and lanterns for wishes.
Sitting in front of the fountain turned planter this area looked so inviting.
Wine glasses were even decorated with coral fabric roses and burlap. You can just barely see the mason type beverage dispensers that held tea and water.
Drinks were iced down in galvanized tubs.
Caitlyn got the shutters at Warrington and repainted them. The arched window mirror gave a finishing touch to the backdrop for the wedding ceremony.
Chair bows were also created out of the coral roses and burlap ribbon. Pretty touch!
I think this was suppose to be the “kids table”, but I know of many adults who enjoyed the treat jars. In these jars were goldfish crackers, peanuts, cashews, Craisins, marshmallows, coral jelly beans, royal blue M&M’s, and more.
Also on the “kids table” were jugs of Shirley Temple. Don’t tell, but I really liked the Shirley Temple drinks – especially the cherries. Yummy! The mason jars with chalkboard labels were perfect for the little ones to be able to keep track of their glasses.
Treat sacks provided the children with crayons and other items for fun. I like how Caitlyn planned for Charley and her friends to be entertained.
Cupcakes and a chocolate chip cookie cake were served. Isn’t the tiered stand on the left great.
Putting the cupcakes on the galvanized metal M was pure genius. It looked so good.
Who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies?
Sitting atop the crate was a small cake to save.
Everyone had a grand time. Being in the Hill Country in a beautifully decorated setting was beyond wonderful.
How special to have good friend, Drew Womack (professional musician) provide the music. The gang headed back to Oma’s to hear his band that night.
Celebrating the love between Caitlyn and Dale made for a blessed day.
Blessings to you and yours,
Caitlyn has a good friend – a really, really good friend – named George. He pulled all the decorations together to make this wedding so memorable. I am sorry I didn’t get his picture. He worked so hard.
