At Watter’s Creek shopping center in Allen, Texas (Bethany at US 75) is a French Bistro called Bonnie Ruth’s. Love the name – Bonnie Ruth’s Bistro Francais et Patisserie.
At this bistro, you can experience a little bit of France.
Dear friend Betty had never dined at Bonnie Ruth’s, but a coupon for 50% off a second entrée caught her attention, and she wanted to give it a try. How wonderful to have a coupon. (You can find Bonnie Ruth’s discounts in mailers, and online.)
This was my third time to dine at Bonnie Ruth’s, and each time I have enjoyed the food. During the week – Monday through Friday – they serve lunch and dinner and you order from a menu. On Saturdays, they have a regular menu as well as a brunch menu. A brunch buffet is offered on Sundays.
I have pictures of the Sunday Brunch – which I loved.
Choices, choices, and more choices are available on the Sunday brunch buffet.
In addition to the hot entrees, there is an omelet bar and a salad bar.
This was my plate – sausage, blueberry cream cheese crepe, fruit, shrimp, asparagus and a muffin. But there were so many other choices. Click HERE to see the Sunday Brunch menu.
Bonnie Ruth’s prides itself in being a patisserie, and the many dessert choices are all made from scratch in their kitchen.
This young man at the dessert table was cute. I like it when someone has fun at their job.
Be still my heart. Cake with a raspberry filling was tasty. It was moist, and had so much flavor from the raspberry filling.
Warm caramel bread pudding and warm chocolate praline cake were also available. Oh, my!
The price for Sunday Brunch is $17.95 and it includes regular beverages. I want to return to Bonnie Ruth’s – to feel like I have almost been to France.
Blessings to you and yours,
FYI: When Betty and I visited Bonnie Ruth’s, I had potato soup and sausage and cheddar cheese quiche. They were both delicious. The quiche filling was simple – sausage and cheddar cheese, but so tasty. Honestly, the quiche was at least two inches thick and served with a generous serving of fresh fruit. The potato soup was packed with flavor – potatoes, carrots, cheese, and a rather thin potato broth. I liked it. I loved it. Betty’s onion soup was wonderful with a rich caramelized onion broth and Gruyere cheese. Her half of sandwich with fries covered the entire plate. Betty enjoyed going to Bonnie Ruth’s, and I suspect we will return.
