A unique characteristic of my mother’s cookbook, A+ in Cooking, is that on the bottom of many pages are inspiriting quotes and cliches.  During our childhood, we heard many of these quotes on a regular basis.  Mother loved famous quotes, and spent a good deal of time researching and searching for just the right ones to include in her cookbook.

Since we are beginning a new year, I thought it timely to share a few of these with you.

The last saying I share with you is one we heard often.  

In fact, a version of this adage was on a small tile hanging in her hall bath.  I now have this little tile in my bathroom.
