What a wonderful afternoon we enjoyed at the Storybook Baby Shower given in Jenny’s honor. The storybook decor was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the company fantastic. Both old friends and new friends alike joined in the fun, and these ladies are like family. Words can not express the pleasure of having others share in our joy. Life is good.
Super Sister made the cutest diaper cake.
There are baby bottles, diapers, blankets, hair adornments, toys, and even the cutest pink boots in and on this “cake”. You can see why I call her Super Sister. She does everything so well.
The shower was held at the Chocolate Angel that is inside the High Street Antique Mall in Plano. I am here to tell you that everything was first class. A dessert buffet was served, and most everything was pink. There was no way anyone could have eaten one of everything, but I heard praises about all of the food.
Petit fours adorned with pink booties were adorable. As Excellent Cook Nancy says, “You can’t have a shower without petit fours.”
Be still my heart. Strawberry cake is perfect for a pink baby shower. The strawberries were dipped in white chocolate, and drizzled with pink chocolate. Impressive.
Every dessert table needs a little chocolate, and this chocolate pie more than filled the bill. Rich chocolate in a flaky crust was excellent. The sugar cookies were topped with a swirl of pink icing. Loved the pink theme.
My choice for the day was the coconut pie. Be still my heart. I do love coconut, and I do love coconut pie. This slice of heavenly goodness was about the best coconut pie I have ever put in my mouth. I am here to tell you. This coconut pie is the stuff dreams are made of.
A pumpkin pie was also served (It came out later during the party – thus no picture.) Yummy! Highly recommended. I brought a slice home to Ever-Lovin’ and he is still talking about it.
All of the desserts were so fantastic. I saw women who usually eat modestly discard their caution and eat more than one dessert on this special day. The food was that good.
Of course there were gifts – piles and piles of wonderful cute gifts. This little girl is going to be well dressed and well taken care of.
Becky (Jenny’s sister), her mother Ginger, and Jenny are all looking forward to another girl in the family.
Thank you hostesses for a most wonderful party.
Super excited father-to-be (Number Two Son) made an appearance at the end of the shower to help transport the gifts. Oh, my. He could not believe all of the gifts. It is an exciting time.
With the love and support from our friends, we are feeling blessed.
Blessings to you and yours,
Chocolate Angel does not know me – just sharing.
