Trick or Treat!
For the young at heart senior citizens at water aerobics, Halloween was a treat.
People are always bringing snacks to share, and on this day before Halloween there were plenty of goodies to eat.
There were pumpkin sugar cookies.
Mutilated spider cookies were a big hit. Who doesn’t like Oreos, M&M’s, and pretzels?
Others brought chocolate cupcakes, brownies, and cookies.
O-o-o-o-h! Be still my heart. Look at these fingers. They remind me of witches’ fingers. Each finger came complete with slivered almond nails and bloody ends. Majorly creepy. What detail. It was amazing that there were even creases in the fingers for the joints.
They actually looked like creepy severed fingers.
We were asked to don costumes for Halloween. Now you do understand – water aerobics is in a swimming pool. It is a pool filled with water. I did not have a mermaid costume – no fish tail or long hair. (Wouldn’t that have been interesting?) A tiara would have to do. A tiara is not much of a costume, but…. Others did better.
Several in the group joined in the fun. Rita is our song leader. She knows the lyrics to a bazillion songs. As I mentioned before, the sing-a-long time might be my favorite activity during water aerobics. She looked darling in her orange hat.
There was this little devil – AKA Pat. I have been told that if you really want to know how to do an exercise, hang around Pat.
You won’t see a more fantastic witch this Halloween season.
Friend Carolyn was a jester. When we went jogging, she was jingling.
Pumpkin earrings. That counts! Aren’t they cute?
Orange colored swim trunks – very appropriate.
Our fortune teller only told of good things to come. Lovely lady!
Oh, me. Oh, my! There was a creepy crawly spider in her fascinator.
Our cute and funny instructor Princess Laurie loves to hang with “The King”.
Sweet Mother of Pearl. You can tell that this is more than a water aerobics class. It is a fun gathering.
Laurie sent me her picture of the entire gang. What an amazing group of people.
Good food, good times, and a good work-out for our bodies. Life is good.
Blessings to you and yours,
Happy Halloween!
