Castle Gap

I remember when Castle Gap Jewelry Company was in Lake Highlands.  For years and years and year and years, I have said I wanted to visit the store at Preston Center, but I never did.  The Mrs. (my dear sweet friend who has the cabin in New Mexico), had often mentioned that Castle Gap had a great selection of Native America jewelry at reasonable prices.  Now this recommendation was from someone who lives near Taos and Santa Fe.  I asked her to go with me, and she did not hesitate to say yes.  Now The Mrs. is well known at Castle Gap, and it was fun to be with someone “in the know.”

Then I noticed an ad in the Dallas Morning News.  Can you believe that this charming petite woman is 93 years old and still comes to work daily.  Says I to myself, “I have to go to this sale.”  Thirty-percent off storewide was appealing.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  How wonderful is this?  Castle Gap does have beautiful handmade jewelry made by Native American craftsmen, and handmade Balinese jewelry imported form the island of Bali, Indonesia.

There was so much to see.  My mind was swirling.  We tried on jewelry for over an hour.  It was beyond fun.

I finally settled on a Balinese sterling silver bracelet, and I do love it.  There is a tourquoise bracelet also calling my name.  But….

The clerks and owners are wonderful.  They know their artist, the merchandise, and have tales to tell.

I do not have any connection to Castle Gap Jewelry Company, and they had no idea I was going to write this blog.  I just wanted to share.  Since I didn’t take pictures, I got the pictures off their website.  http://castlegap.com/index.html  You can shop online.

Blessings to you and yours,

I did like saving 30%.
