Hark – a Bible Fellowship Festival – was a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season at First Baptist Church Richardson. The Living Stones Bible fellowship class was ask to “host” two tables on this Sunday morning,
Hark the Herald Angels Sing – was the theme. So the tables were decorated with carolers.
Hot spiced apple cider was served along with those delicious gingersnap cookies you buy at World Market. The treats were served hoping that good tidings and cheer would be spread to all. And I do believe that goal was accomplished. We had so much fun.
Since we were “the angelic host”, we wore halos. Talk about an ice breaker. The church people laughed and questioned the idea that we were “angels” . Really – can you believe that? (Mrs. Becky, Janet and yours truly with her eyes closed.)
Downstairs “angels” Mrs. Ralph, Sheila and B.B. Seriously all of these girls have been angels in my life. And you know they are good sports.
We were not the only happenings on this glorious morning.
The sounds of Christmas filled the halls. Andy is always entertaining.
The carolers were beyond wonderful. I liked it. I loved it when they sang Carol of the Bells.
After the worship service, the music from the brass band filled the air. It was a festive and joyous occasion
Be still my heart. We were not the only ones spreading Christmas cheer today. This spiffy little lady and her decorated walker made my day.
I wish you could have seen and heard the shouts of joy from this precious child when she saw Bill.
Mrs. Becky and here co-teacher Wilma.
This visitor wasn’t sure about cider. He tried it, and he liked it. Then he wanted his picture taken with the “angels”. Do you think his family back home will be able to understand these strange Christians?
Love this picture of friend B.B.
David and his angel Sheila. Aren’t they cute!
I can not help but insert an advertisement. If you are looking for a church home that loves the Lord, loves their neighbors, and engages in Bible study seriously consider joining us at FBC Richardson. Check out their web page for information about classes and times for Bible study and worship.
Blessings to you and yours,
