“Welcome to the State Fair of Texas.”
Big Tex is sixty years old this year. Still looks pretty good. in those Dickies.
“While photographing food stalls at the State Fair of Texas, one of the vendors said, “Aren’t you going to take my picture?”
“Sure,” says I.
She was so cute! She was happy, friendly, and appeared to enjoy working at the fair. Love her smile.
Then I took a few more people pictures.
Pretty little girl was literally jumping for joy over painting a pumpkin. She was precious!
Mr. Policeman in his observation box.
The Milkman – I’m sure there is a joke about him somewhere, but… Thanks for the cheese.
Elsie the Cow. (I know she is not people, but I like her.) Elsie is a legend in her own time. I wonder how old Elsie is? ( I Googled it, and Elsie first appeared in 1936, and she is from back East. I would have thought she was a Texan. She is one of the most recognized logos in America – Life is a classroom.)
I thought Elsie was beautiful.
Sweet Mother of Pearl. I have to go to the fair to see my cousin Dorothy and husband Lee. Dorothy always looks so good.
Unbelievable – I know you probably know how this is done, but I don’t, and I am amazed. Half-man was at the fair the last time I went to the fair.
Wolf Boy loved Half-man.
Make a basket and you win a gigantic sock monkey – the sock monkeys were cute but big. Basketball man was kinda cute also.
“Throw the balls and win a prize.” He made it sound so easy
Pretty tattooed girl would make you a tee-shirt.
Banana man is sure his booth is Number One!
Do these two really go together?
I love people watching. Remember, it was senior citizen day. I could have shown you plenty of walkers and wheelchairs. At least these seniors are out and about, and I like that.
Blessings to you and yours,
