Last night was the first of two nights of the Brentfield Elementary Talent Show 2012. Sweet Mother of Pearl, there is wonderful talent in this school – singers, dancers, hula hoopers, piano players, a violinist, an artist, three young girls doing karate that were beyond amazing (broke boards). It was unbelievable how poised all of them were. Then there were the mothers who were way HOT in their flash mob dance. Plus – It was special to see some of my former students preform. Made me proud.
BUT the main reason we were in attendance last night was Hot Rod, our grandson. He sang, and I’m here to tell you – He was good.
I know he is ours, but he did so well. My heart was just bursting. He stood up there in front of all those people and sang, and we could hear him and understand him. Wow!
Did I mention how cute he is. He had on a hat, a Star Wars tee-shirt, and jeans. Hot Rod looked just like a rock star, and he did rock with his version of Eye of the Tiger. He even had the moves.
I love this boy! He is such a blessing. I told him I don’t want him to grow up. He said he has to. Boo-hoo.
